Games Inbox: Uncharted 2: The Movie, next gen racing, and Nintendo's loss

I've never been able to get into simulations such as Forza so I'm definitely after something arcade/street racing flavoured. I tried Burnout Paradise but the races were too short and navigation was confusing. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is okay but the handling is a bit off and the courses are a bit boring. Burnout Revenge was pretty good, handling was spot on and the courses felt right. It would be a pretty short/depressing feature. Other than Zelda the only other notable Wii exclusives are low budget fare such as Kirby Wii, Rhythm Heaven, Mario Party 9 and Fortune Street. Oh, and Mario And Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games. On the DS there's Kirby Mass Attack, Aliens: Infestation, and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 this year and that's it. Professor Layton And The Spectre's Call is still to come but that seems more likely to be2012. Enjoying Bastion too at the moment. Wasn't sure at first but after the demo and GC's review I'm glad I got it. After Microsoft had to refund me 800 Points after I bought Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and it didn't work and was told if wouldn't work on my Xbox because my 250GB hard drive (old detachable one) didn't have some data or something on it that plays the Xbox emulation. I'm happy with the 3DS... there I said it. For me the purchase of a handheld is always a bit of a novelty and I always happily wait for more titles to arrive on handhelds whilst being preoccupied with my main gaming outlets. I'm fortunate enough to have many gaming distractions and I don't think I would have purchased a 3DS if that wasn't the case.Lower prices for me is only 20 free games which is great. I paid about £ 170 for it at launch and I felt that was worth it, I do not feel tricked or cheated, but then again, I think it depends on the expectations of each person and the importance they attached to the machine. It's not a perfect start but I sure remember waiting eons for games (or at least decent games) out of some of the consoles more praise. Maybe we are too spoiled or too impatient now, it's strange - I could not wait to get the 3DS to see what it was but I'm happy to wait for more games to play on it . I've suddenly remembered a game that may never have been released. I remember wanting it like mad, but only seeing one preview of it in Nintendo Magazine System in the mid '90s.
