God decides how we receive salvation
Replacing my cell phone recently was a traumatic experience because I was still using the penny phone that came with the original contract. It was a simple phone with no bells or whistles.
While I was storing a friend’s number, which unlike some other procedures, wasn’t so hard for me to figure out, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message that, “John Doe is saved.” I immediately thought, “Boy, if it were that easy, I’d just start punching in everybody’s name and number so they’d be saved (it didn’t occur to me until now, a few weeks later, that I might be tempted to not enter some people’s names).”
Anyway, it’s not that easy to become saved and it’s even harder to stay saved although God wants both (1 Timothy 2: 3, 4; 2 Peter 3: 9; John 3: 16, 17). Still, his plan of salvation is simple for those who can get past the first requirement of faith (1 Corinthians 1: 18; 1 John 5: 1-13; read all the verses cited in this article to see how simple God’s plan is).
We must believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10: 8-13). Confession is a necessary action on our part.
We also must believe and be baptized to be saved (Mark 16: 16). Baptism saves us by the resurrection of Christ as we’re washed with water through, by, or according to, the word (Ephesians 5: 25-27; 1 Peter 3: 21; Colossians 2: 11, 12). It’s when we call on the name of the Lord to remove our sins (Acts 22: 16). Many, having faith, stumble over grace not realizing that grace is accepted through obedience to the faith (Ephesians 2: 8, 9; Titus 3: 3-7; 2 Corinthians 6: 1; Galatians 2: 20, 21; 5: 24; Romans 6: 3-5; Acts 6: 7; 1 Peter 1: 22).
Although I wish I could just enter someone’s name in my phone and have them be saved, God decides how people are saved and have their name written in his book of life (Acts 2: 37-41, 42-47; 16: 30-34; Revelation 3: 5; 20: 11-15).
Nobody is to change God’s plan (Revelation 22: 18, 19). Rather, we’re to present God’s whole plan so people can hear (Romans 10: 14-17), believe in Jesus, repent of their sins, confess Jesus as Lord, be baptized in his name to have their sins forgiven, and live to please God for the rest of their lives (Revelation 2: 10).
The hardest part of salvation may be remaining faithful to the end (Matthew 24: 13; 2 Thessalonians 2: 13-15). But, God will help us as long as we’re faithful to his whole plan (Hebrews 13: 1-8; 7: 23-25; 1 Corinthians 15: 1-5; 1 Peter 1: 3-9). God will hold accountable those who aren’t faithful in that regard (Matthew 28: 18-20; Acts 20: 21, 26, 27).

Here we find a simple and straightforward definition of the Holy Spirit. It is the “power of the Highest”—God the Father! Verse 37 continues, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Indeed! That's because of the tremendous power at His disposal

And when it analyzes a Democratic budget cutting plan, it's "a grab bag of gimmicks." But when it shows that a Republican plan cuts less than promised, it's god's own truth, and woe to the unbeliever who doesn't hustle to repent.
God says what He means. And the Bible is very clear on the matter of homosexuality: Male-with-male and female-with-female unions were never apart of God's plan for humanity, and they don't please Him. From the very beginning of the Old Testament,
These things are to be provided by the church, God's people. We are in the present mess because civil government has not obeyed (in this order) God's Word and the US Constitution. The overwhelming majority in Congress are not interested in doing what
“GODS SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION” « Thoughts Of An Old Man
My Friend: I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?
God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.”
In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How?
First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.
“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).
“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.
My friend, “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.
In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .’ ”
Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior.
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).
