Testing Fuel Pressure - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Fellow V10 owners...I want to test the fuel pressure on my '08 V10 but am having a hell of a time locating the connection point for a pressure gauge. I see nothing on the rails or lines in the engine compartment, and cannot find anything on this in the service manual, at least not the one I have from Chilton. I did find a pressure/voltage table that the sensor uses, so maybe I need to hook a DVM up and do it that way ??? Makes no sense though. None that I could find. Was looking for something similar to the schrader like valve that is on my wifes engine. The only thing I can think is to remove the FRPS and install an adapter with a connection point on it. As far as removing pressure from the system, the procedure for that seems to be just disconnect the fuel pump then turn the engine over a few times. In fact, thats how the manual tells you to do it and everything I found online corresponds to that. It works, I removed pressure that way when I replaced the fuel filter and it went really smooth. The FRPS looks like it pops out real easy, I'll poke around and see if there is an adapter out there I can buy. I got the truck right now at a local place to get the PCM codes read for other issues. They said they would take a look and let me know the best way to test the fuel pressure. The mechanic was surprised to hear I couldn't find it, but I'm guessing they haven't got a lot of these newer V10's in yet since most 08's are just now starting to come off warranty.
