On Saturday, August 6 at 8 p.m. , the Cincinnati Pops concludes its summer season at Riverbend Music Center with the uplifting musical extravaganza “ Hallelujah Broadway .” As seen on PBS stations nationwide, this program brings together moving and thrilling hits from America’s favorite Broadway musicals such as Godspell, Rent, Oklahoma, Les Miserables .

Tenor Rodrick Dixon , soprano Alfreda Burke and tenor Anthony Kearns (one of the three original “Irish Tenors”) from the original PBS broadcast join the world-renowned May Festival Chorus and the Cincinnati Pops under the baton of incoming Pops Conductor John Morris Russell in an evening designed to excite and inspire.

“Hallelujah Broadway” was born out of the idea that powerful music can entertain, uplift the spirit and bring joy to an audience. The feel-good music included in the program brings together those songs that have delighted and inspired theater-goes for generations.
