Louisa Mclean will sigh with relief when the new delivery of J Brand navy skinny jeans arrives in stores across Australia by this weekend.

''Oh my god, we've had requests from everyone,'' says Mclean, who is brand manager of Edwards Imports, which distributes J Brand jeans in Australia. ''So many customers were asking for them that there was an immediate re-cut produced and the requests haven't stopped even now.''

Mclean's phone started ringing two weeks ago, after Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was photographed in the jeans on a visit to Yellowknife in Canada, where she was on a royal tour with her husband Prince William.

''Since then we've had huge international press circulation and it's still going, actually,'' Mclean says. ''It's ranged from tabloid magazines to online bloggers and Harper's Bazaar, so we've had an incredibly broad media outlet. Your fashion customer is following the Vogues and Harper's of this world but your everyday person is able to relate to the product by seeing it on Catherine in the gossip mags and the tabloids.''

In this respect, Mclean cannot recall a celebrity or model with anything like the ability to move product the former Kate Middleton now has.

''Catherine is a whole new level of fame,'' she says. ''Her influence is a lot greater than a supermodel or somebody like that because she has been marketed as the everyday girl that people can relate to but, of course, now she is a duchess as well.''

In the 1980s we had the supermodel; now we have the super-influencer.

Together with the US's first lady Michelle Obama, Catherine has defined fashion's new category of the super-influencer: a high-profile woman with supreme selling power.

Since her engagement to Prince William last year, almost everything the Duchess of Cambridge has worn has sold out within minutes, such as the nude Reiss bandage dress she wore to meet Obama at Buckingham Palace in May. As soon as pictures of the Duchess wearing it appeared, the British retailer was selling the $316 dress at a rate of one a minute, until the Reiss website crashed after traffic to it increased 500 per cent.

The $75 blue Zara dress Catherine wore the day after her wedding also sold out within a day; the $975 Burberry trench she wore in March sold out within a week; and the $598 Issa dress she wore to announce her engagement even spawned several cheaper imitations after the original version sold out within hours.

Try to go a little green, I bought this rack.Our power company increases their rates during the winter so it saves a great little money. Also tried to release moisture more slowly in the dry winter house. Excellent quality much better then I expected. Very robust. Not as big as the holder wood, bulk carrier so that it does not take much space. Not the greatest but good support for small to medium wash load.

Worried about wrinkles or clothes stiff? Before everything is dry, I threw in the dryer for a few minutes. It's cheaper to run the dryer for just a few minutes, then the whole cycle.

The mesh for drying sweaters very similar. I haven’t tried it yet since I’m no longer allowed to wash my wife’s sweaters. Seems she didn’t like it when I hung them up on hangers before.Vad är fel med ärmar som går ner till knäna?
